How to watch Formula 1 in the UK for less
Another year, another year that SKY has its grips on the Formula 1 coverage here in the UK. The good news is that there is a way to avoid paying their exuberant prices, get better coverage and no ads. This is what I did

Willow season 1
I’m very surprised to be writing this based on my feelings after the first episode but once I set expectation on the series I enjoyed it. I think I expected Lord of Rings but actually got something like the original film. A fun adventure that doesn’t take itself too seriously.

Willow filming locations
After a shaky start I’ve been slowly warming up to the new Willow series on Disney Plus. As someone that is Welsh I was curious to check out all of the filming locations. Visit Wales has a nice breakdown of the locations here. It’s exciting to see Wales being used for more filming, it’s also…

Top TV shows of 2022
I like to look back on the shows I’ve enjoyed over the past year, I don’t have all the streaming services but of the ones I have these are the shows that stood out. What’s on your list?

The look of Andor
I’ve watched Episode 4 of Andor (I won’t be talking spoilers) and I think it reaffirmed my thoughts that it’s my favourite looking of the shows so far. This lines up I guess given that Rogue One is my favourite looking movie of the Disney era and probably second only to Empire for look and…

Paramount + didn’t make it past my free trial
My free week trial has ended with Paramount + and I see no reason to keep it going. I signed up primarily to watch Halo and whilst it was ok (aside from being completely unrelated to my favourite video game franchise) there’s nothing on there that would get me paying the £6.99 a month. I’m…

Netflix, your original content isn’t good enough to keep subscribers
It’s interesting to see Netflix is losing subscribers and as someone that occasionally dips into the service it’s not a surprise. I’d argue that Stranger Things is the only reason to subscribe for a month and binge. Drive to Survive was good in the first 2 seasons but is now blatantly made up for the…

Apple TV+ Foundation has a lot of potential
I’ve only really just started out with Apple TV+ and started to watch Foundation. I’m a big sci-fi fan and it looked interesting. I’m 4 episodes in and it’s hooked me. I can see this series running for multiple seasons already and has a lot of world building to do. I love the design of…

The book of Boba Fett gets off to a great start (non spoiler first impressions)
Disney+ has had a great start and this week saw the start of The Book of Boba Fett. He’s in my top 3 favourite characters and this is a story I’ve been waiting for since I was 6 years old watching Return of the Jedi in the cinema. I wasn’t apprehensive at all given the…

How to watch F1TV in the UK
As an F1 fan it’s been a frustrating time trying to watch live coverage without spending a fortune on a SKY package but there is a way to watch the official F1TV live coverage from the UK. You’ll also save a good bit of money vs the £35 a month SKY Sports package, which is…

STAR comes to Disney Plus
Today Disney Plus now includes STAR content and I’m pleased to see a load of stuff Ill enjoy catching up on. My favourites include Futurama The Strain The X-Files Starship Troopers Titan A.E. Modern Family Office Space Parental controls all seem sensible to me but real world testing will show me if it’s effective or…

The Mandalorian Chapter 10 felt a lot like the Clone Wars (and that’s a good thing)
I won’t be spoiling the show yet, I’ve really enjoyed season 2 so far and the latest might be one of my favourites. If you watched the clone wars (and why haven’t you?) you’ll know we get a series of episodes following an arc then a completely different episode in a different part of the…

The Mandalorian Season 2 gets a release date
The first season of The Mandalorian sits alongside The Clone Wars as some of my favourite Star Wars content and we finally have a date for season 2 – 30th October 2020. I’m really looking forward to seeing where they take the series given how well received it’s been and where it left off (no…
