I’m trying to be more consistent with my newsletter, especially now I have a growing subscriber list (thanks all of those that are subscribing).
This issue I talk about Collecting.

I’m back to writing my Star Wars newsletter, had a bit of a break but I’m back. This week I’m talking Boba Fett, one of my favourite characters.
Happy May the 4th everyone, the new issue of Discussing Star Wars is now available.
I’m starting to play around with different ways to share and for the first issue of my blog newsletter I’ve shared my TODOIST setup, something that has stuck around for me – yes, I’m surprised too!
Here’s the link to the newsletter – I really appreciate if you’d like to sign up.
I’ve just completed the second issue of my little Star Wars focussed newsletter, up this week is talking about Toys and Collectables.
You can see the direct link here, please let me know if you’d like to cover any particular topics.
As you may know I’m a massive Star Wars fan, it means the world to me and I wanted to start to write about a few of my other passions in life so I did a thing.
I am figuring out if I want to turn this into a weekly podcast discussing all things Star Wars (more positively) than a lot of what I see on YouTube but as a start I’ve created a newsletter over on Substack. I know I said I didn’t want to continue there but when you have no budget you have limited options and it allows me to post quickly.
This’ll be something to hopefully improve my writing and also get some interesting discussions going on, come along – no posts yet but you’ll see the first one (talking Kenobi) soon. I’ll also share my thoughts on podcasting this, let me know if you’d prefer a podcast to a newsletter please.
Thanks in advance.
There are a lot of ways to get to readers in 2021 and the trend of creating newsletters was one that I’ve been on and off for a while now but I’m throwing in the towel, I’m done with newsletters.
If you did subscribe via substack (I think I had 5 people, thanks to those that did) I have removed you from my mailing list now and requested that Substack delete my account (they don’t make it easy).
I think it comes down to energy levels and focussing on one output method, in my case this blog. I much prefer to write shorter posts that I can do from my iPhone whenever I want to. My main issue with newsletters is I want to share these shorter posts, not something that I store up for a weekly release.
I thought with leaving Twitter I needed a better way to get in touch with those wonderful people that read my stuff, so I created a newsletter.
I’ve created this here, it’s a test so if it doesn’t work please let me know.
Appreciate anyone that takes the time out of their week to subscribe and subsequently ready my little updates.
