I’ve been looking at moving onto the upgrade programme this year and looking at the costs of the new Pro it’s about the same as the old XS was. Remember this comes with Apple Care + included so you’re looking at around a £600 saving each year if you like to upgrade each time.
It’s the day of the iPhone 11 keynote and I thought it would be a good point to jump back in with blogging a little more regularly. I’m looking at what is rumoured against what devices I currently use on a daily basis. iPhone For the last 11 months I’ve been using the iPhone XSContinue reading “Some last minute thoughts on the Apple iPhone 11 keynote”
Looks like 3D Touch is going away and deleting apps on your iPhone just got a little longer. There are two ways to do this in iOS 13. The first way is to tap and hold until you see the menu as follows You can then tap ‘rearrange apps’ and then you’ll see them jigglingContinue reading “How to delete apps in iOS 13”
If you’re in the market for an Apple Pencil 2 I’ve just spotted Amazon have them 16% off right now. Here’s the link.
As you mostly likely know I get work done on my trusty iPad Pro but do occasionally use my 12″ MacBook, yes the one that Apple discontinued this week. I’ve owned my base model since Jan 2017 and had a love/hate relationship with it since. The elephant in the room is obviously that keyboard. ForContinue reading “Owning the 12” MacBook”

I’ve had good intentions to get into development but I’m admitting to myself I’ll never get there. With the increased issues of this years beta track I’m outContinue reading “Letting my Apple Developer account expire”
I’ve written a few times about negative experiences I’ve had at the Apple Store but after a trip yesterday I wanted to share a great experience. As you can see I broke another iPhone (I won’t go into how) so I booked an appointment via the Apple Support app. For screen replacements the app makesContinue reading “A great Apple Store experience”
So I raised a radar around my data loss in iCloud (activity) data. I’ve listened to a few podcasts and it would appear that engineers are reaching out but I’ve had nothing. Yes I installed a beta but given the importance of this type of data I’m disappointed that I’ve had no contact at all.Continue reading “I’ve had no contact from Apple on my data loss”
Using my Apple Pencil today I realised its the most used and durable product I’ve ever owned from Apple. As you can see it’s been nibbled by our cat, it’s been dropped lots of times and just gets tossed into my bag. I still have the cap and I’ve fitted a pen clip so thatContinue reading “My most durable Apple product”
We are only a matter of weeks away from WWDC so I wanted to (as it traditional) jot down some thoughts on what I’d like to see from Apple. IOS As you know I use iOS as my operating system of choice and use it many times a day be it consuming or creating content.Continue reading “My hopes for WWDC 2019”
