I’ve been looking at the last minute rumours and my own use case for the iPad these days and I keep coming back to the iPad Mini. I own the latest generation iPad Mini and use it way more than I did my Pro these days. I love the form factor, weight, the fact it’sContinue reading “The iPad Mini Pro”
I’m a big watch and space nerd and I was completely taken by surprise that an Apple Watch is currently being used on the International Space Station. Japanese astronaut Soichi Noguchi is a great follow anyway but I spotted him wearing what looks like a blue Apple Watch series 6 and now I’m fascinated byContinue reading “The Apple Watch has gone to space”
Whilst using my MacBook this morning I realised that I had never actually shared my macOS setup, only every my iOS one. I’m not sure if many will find this interesting but I thought I’d share my Mac workflow. So, my desktop is pretty clean just quick access to my drive. I use a lotContinue reading “My macOS setup”
I though this story on The Verge detailing several issues with the company Apple uses to deal with its trade in’s very interesting. There are a few things I wonder Is this a US only issue? Do customers think it’s Apple that deals with it? What about in store? Is it US only? As someoneContinue reading “Apple need to be clearer on trade in”
Apple have finally confirmed the 20th April 2021 as their next event, streamed online as usual and no audience as expected in these times. I don’t think you can read anything into the invite image aside from the colours. To my eyes this is showing a line of spring colours for maybe watch bands, casesContinue reading “What will Apple announce at next weeks event”
This is a great write up from Zac over at 9to5Mac around making the Apple Watch a little less overwhelming. It was one of the nice things for me when I went back to a mechanical watch, no constant notifications or need to be checking it.
Spotify announced Car Thing a few days ago for “select Spotify users” but I have no idea why. I can see strategically they want to be in people’s faces as often as possible but is there really a need for this? All of the cars I’ve owned have been fine for streaming from my phone.Continue reading “Spotify, why are you releasing an in car player?”
The only portable computer I have these days is the 12″ MacBook, mine is from 2016. I love it, I use it throughout the day and it’s so thin and light I take it pretty much everywhere with me. The battery still lasts all day, (thankfully) the keyboard is still working and it’s really durable.Continue reading “Imagining an M1 based 12″ MacBook”
I think that if this report by Mark Gurman at Bloomberg is to be believed Apple are developing a new ‘home’ product that combines an Apple TV, HomePod and Camera to use FaceTime and I think it’s about time. It makes perfect sense to have something that we could use instead of crowding around theContinue reading “Apple developing new Apple TV with HomePod functionality and a camera?”
I came across this great post and wanted to share it on. I’m starting to use Pixelmator a lot more these days with photo editing on the cheap. It’s actually turned into a really nice app and is installed on my Mac and iOS devices.
