I’ve been testing a couple of difference studio monitors as I create my YouTube/Guitar setup. I’ve settled on these M-Audio, which for the money are the best I have tried. I have found that the best way to connect them to my MacBook is via the 3.5″ Aux from the MacBook to the FRONT of the active speaker into it’s AUX input (see pic below).
