I’ve been fascinated looking at the statistics that YouTube studio gives you and it’s struck me why in many YouTube videos you hear the creator asking you to subscribe.

You can see looking at mine that almost all viewers are watching the videos but not subscribing. I know I’m a small fry but I can’t imagine bigger creators look that different here. Makes some sense given the way a lot of people consume YouTube going from one recommendation to the next or seeing your video in the shorts feed.
