Are podcasts too full of ads?

I’m not sure if this is just me but I’ve unsubscribed to a lot of podcasts that I’ve listened to for years. The popularity of podcasts has pushed up the number of ads and membership programmes in most of the top podcasts these days.

I’m not calling any producers out here but I wanted to get your thoughts on this. Do you think that there are too many ads and membership pushes over the last year?
