The benefits of the ‘S’ cycle

Being a gadget enthusiast meant that in the past I’d update my iPhone pretty much every year but I skipped the iPhone 12 and now I’m seeing more benefits in my testing of the 13.

Skipping the new form factor means that when I went from my iPhone 11 to this iPhone 13 not only did I get new cameras and screen but I got a new design.

Upgrading every 2, 3 or 4 years is better not only for you in terms of the feeling of a new device but also reducing some of that nasty e-waste.

If you’re skipping generations then be sure to avoid the new form factor in it’s first generation but get the next iteration or the one after that.
