This is a very interesting report from The Verge and should be a surprise to no one but is worth a read through. The algorithm is the main problem with YouTube and Google just keep letting it run wild.

This just reconfirms my decision to stop watching the service completely. Until more take users action and stop watching unfortunately Google won’t do anything. If you want to vote with your money cancel your premium subscriptions and take a month off.
