Going platform agnostic

It’s been a busy couple of months for Apple and with some of their bullying tactics now being employed it hasn’t been sitting well with me lately. I’m not rage quitting or anything but it’s got me thinking about how penned into the Apple ecosystem I am and how it’s not a comfortable place to be. All of the apps I’m using are only on iOS and at this point more important to me than the actual hardware. I think Apple have lost sight of this lately and I’m hoping they rediscover it soon.

Anyway so, I’m looking at ways to go platform agnostic and use only services/apps that work cross platform.

This is easier said than done and I’m only at the beginning of the journey.

  • Apple Music, well I’ve cancelled my subscription here so up in the air right now
  • For a to do app I’ve moved into Todoist. Does the job for me, I have a little bit of a premium account left them I’ll move onto free and see where it goes
  • Google services do most of the heavy lifting for the rest with Keep and Sheets

What apps do you use? Are you concerned about being on iOS only?
